Well, maybe sometimes it’s not about having to go far. I’m sharing few words here and lots of photos because the kids are about to wake up and we have a big day ahead. But you guys….here’s the thing, first I must say thank you. Thank you so much for the encouraging words lately. The messages, the questions, the answers and for just being you. I love that I can post a nerdy photo on Facebook about short shorts and you guys totally get the struggle! I think the world of you.
Last weekend we found ourselves without big travel plans and we ended up having the best time ever. Here’s a little bit of what we did:
Low tide at Cama Beach. Have you been? Look up a LOW tide and go. What you’ll find is totally fascinating!
Goey ducks? Horse clams? I dunno, but they were super cool and everywhere! Be prepared for mud, but remember, dirt don’t hurt! A tiny shrimp! Told ya, you’d find cool stuff!
The kids love this play area. And the swings are awesome, too. Cama Beach, we love you! Sunday started bright and early, fishing at Clear Lake right outside of Mount Vernon. The kids caught a lot of fish. Maybe check it out, if you’re looking for a place to go!
Then some fun at Mossyback Farm. This produce stand is so cute and the prices are great, too. The golden retrievers that hangout there with the owner are the icing on the cake. I have a special spot in my heart for goldens.
Monday we hiked and then had a picnic at Four Springs Preserve. Have you been? Our son who’s newly into mountain biking, had the best time riding his bike along the trails.
What a hidden gem this place is. After our hike, we took the kids to Camano Scoopz. I had the Bowhill Blueberry. YUM!
Well, that about wraps it up! Cama Beach at low tide, fishing at Clear Lake, Mossyback Produce, Four Springs Reserve and Camano Scoopz!
